The 3M™ VHB™ Tape Max Series is a high-performance, acrylic-based double-sided adhesive tape designed to replace mechanical joining methods, certain welding processes, and liquid adhesives – ideal for applications requiring maximum strength and long-term stability. With a lap strength of up to 3.24 MPa (470 psi), it offers significantly higher adhesive performance than conventional 3M™ VHB™ tapes and delivers outstanding results in the most demanding industrial applications.

The immediate handling strength of the tape ensures significantly faster assembly and shorter production times compared to liquid adhesives. In addition, the tape allows for greater design freedom, as it delivers reliable results even with narrower bond lines and smaller bonding areas. This allows material consumption to be reduced without compromising strength.

In combination with the 3M™ VHB™ Adhesive Tape Max Adhesion Promoter, the series achieves a particularly high adhesive strength on various substrates such as metals or materials with high-energy surfaces. The result is clean, smooth, and visually high-quality bonds that are also technically robust and durable.
