The 3M™ VHB™ Tape Max Series is a high-performance, acrylic-based double-sided adhesive tape designed to replace mechanical joining methods, certain welding processes, and liquid adhesives – ideal for applications that require maximum strength and durable bonds. With an impressive lap strength of up to 3.24 MPa (470 psi), it significantly outperforms conventional 3M™ VHB™ tapes.

Thanks to its immediate handling strength, the tape enables faster assembly and significantly reduces production times. At the same time, it offers optimized material efficiency—narrower bond lines and smaller bonding areas allow for material savings without compromising stability.

When used in combination with the 3M™ VHB™ Adhesive Tape Max Adhesion Promoter, the series achieves excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, including metals and materials with high-energy surfaces. This results in clean, smooth, and visually high-quality bonds that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.
