The 3M™ VHB™ Tape Max Series is the highest-performance solution within the proven 3M™ VHB™ tape family. It was specifically developed to replace mechanical joining methods, certain welding processes, and liquid adhesives in applications that require maximum strength. With a lap strength of up to 3.24 MPa (470 psi), it significantly outperforms conventional VHB tapes and ensures durable, reliable bonds.

The immediate handling strength enables faster assembly and more efficient production processes compared to liquid adhesives. Additionally, the tape offers high design flexibility, as material usage can be optimized through narrower joint lines and smaller bonding areas—without compromising stability and durability.

In combination with the 3M™ VHB™ Adhesive Tape Max Adhesion Promoter, the series achieves exceptional adhesive strength on a wide variety of substrates, such as metals or materials with high-energy surfaces.
