Beschreibung
3M™ VHB™ Tape 5952 in black is a 1.1 mm thick, double-sided high-performance tape made of modified acrylic adhesive that flexibly conforms to virtually any surface—even rough or uneven ones. The pressure-sensitive adhesive enables an immediate, durable bond that lasts over the long term.
It is ideal as a replacement for mechanical fasteners such as screws, rivets, or welded joints, thereby reducing work steps such as drilling, grinding, or finishing. At the same time, it absorbs vibrations and shocks, provides a permanent seal against water and moisture, and facilitates the assembly of thinner, lighter, or dissimilar materials.
Thanks to its closed-cell acrylate structure, the tape can be applied without tension to smooth, textured, powder-coated, or low-energy surfaces such as certain plastics (except soft PVC) or glass. In many cases, no primer is required.
