The 3M™ VHB™ Tape 5909 is a 0.3 mm thick, black, double-sided high-performance adhesive tape featuring a modified acrylate adhesive and a conformable acrylic foam core. It enables fast, clean, and permanently strong bonding without the need for drilling, screwing, or welding. Thanks to its high initial tack and viscoelastic properties, the tape reliably compensates for material stresses, gap dimensions, and thermal expansion. It adheres securely to a wide variety of materials—including metal, plastic, glass, paints, and powder coatings—while providing vibration and shock absorption as well as a permanent seal against water and moisture. Ideal for applications with thin adhesive joints and high aesthetic requirements.
