Beschreibung
3M™ VHB™ Tape 4991 is a grey, high-performance double-sided tape with a thickness of 2.3 mm, made from 100% closed-cell acrylate adhesive. It has been specially developed for demanding applications requiring high strength, flexibility and long-term durability – both indoors and outdoors.
The viscoelastic acrylic material adapts perfectly to smooth or textured surfaces and ensures tension-free, resilient bonds. With its immediate strength, 3M™ VHB™ 4991 easily replaces mechanical fasteners such as screws, rivets or welded joints. This eliminates the need for time-consuming steps such as drilling, grinding or finishing.
The tape offers impressive resistance to plasticisers, enabling it to adhere reliably even to PVC substrates or powder-coated surfaces. It also provides excellent vibration and shock absorption, as well as a permanent seal against water and moisture. This enables secure, durable and clean bonds on materials with medium to high surface energy, such as metal, plastic, glass or paint.
