The 3M™ VHB™ Tape 4947 is a 1.1 mm thick, double-sided high-performance adhesive tape in black, featuring an acrylate adhesive for maximum strength, conformability, and durability. It was specifically developed for demanding applications on materials with medium to high surface energy such as metal, glass, plastic, painted surfaces, and soft PVC.
The tape offers immediate working strength thanks to its pressure-sensitive adhesive and replaces mechanical fasteners such as screws, rivets, or welds—for faster, cleaner, and more efficient assembly.
