FPCs pre-assembled with 3M 9077 can be used in lead-free soldering processes (peak temperature 260°C, 20 sec.). The protective cover remains largely undamaged and can be easily removed. The 9077 has good peel strength even at high temperatures. Due to its backing material, this tape also offers excellent die-cutting performance. The low outgassing of the adhesive reduces contamination of electronic components.
Our 3M™ 9077 Double-Sided Adhesive Tape with Extremely High Temperature Resistance is a transfer tape coated with adhesive on both sides that withstands high temperatures yet remains easy to apply. The 2-mil-thick pressure-sensitive adhesive withstands high temperatures for short periods and is suitable for a wide range of processing and operating environments, such as use in a car’s engine compartment.
